Nike reintroduced an NBA All-Star icon with the release of the Nike Kobe 6 Protro Challenge Red All-Star. Originally unveiled during the 2011 All-Star Game, this sneaker commemorates Kobe Bryant’s stellar performance, where he scored 37 points, grabbed 14 rebounds, and earned his fourth All-Star MVP while leading the West to victory in a close battle against LeBron James and the East.

The updated Protro version builds on the original with enhancements for modern performance. Its lower, sleeker design incorporates advanced technology, including a flexible Air Zoom Turbo unit in the midsole for superior responsiveness and a refined outsole with scaled-down traction for better grip. The upper features a bold red and black snakeskin-textured material, paying homage to Kobe’s “Black Mamba” persona, while a black heel cap with Kobe’s signature completes the design.
