When the Jordan 11 Gamma Blue first hit shelves on December 21, 2013 at $185, reception was mixed. No OG colorway to reference, no game footage of MJ wearing them. Just a triple-black Jordan 11 with Gamma Blue Jumpman logos and Varsity Maize on the tongue. Twelve years later, used pairs were selling near $1,000. The December 2025 retro (CT8012-017, $230) reportedly moved a million pairs and still sold through.

Black nylon mesh upper, glossy patent leather mudguard cut higher than the 2013 version to match the original 1995 AJ11 shape. Carbon fiber shank plate in the outsole. Gamma Blue tints the Jumpman on the heel and the translucent outsole. Varsity Maize shows up only on the tongue Jumpman logo, a single warm accent against all that black. Patent leather has a deep, mirror-like gloss that looks different under every light. Flat black indoors, reflective and sharp in direct sun. Half down if you’re between sizes, the 11 runs a touch long.
